New Developments

It has been quite a busy start to the year at Essendon & Moonee Ponds Physiotherapy Clinic and Roxburgh Park Physiotherapy clinic in terms of changes in our team and new developments.

Departure

Kirsten Wheeler left us in February 2004 to concentrate on her elite netball career with Melbourne Phoenix. Kirsten spent 2 and a half years with us and will be missed by both staff and patients.

Arrivals

Meredith Cadwalladerjoined our team in late February 2004.

Meredith is an experienced clinician who began her career in the public hospital system where she gained a wide range of medical experience. She has also worked in rural health establishing a physiotherapy service in Violet Town a rural community, as well as hydrotherapy and women's health.

Meredith also spent three years working in busy central London clinics, including working in the private hospital used by the Royal Family. She has worked with the English Army providing services to new recruits, and as a volunteer physiotherapist at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Her areas of special interest include rehabilitation post orthopaedic injury and orthopaedic paediatrics, as well as womens health.

Hydrotherapy classes

Hydrotherapy classes will be starting soon at Broadmeadows Health Service and will be conducted by Erwin Ongso. This is a well equipped purpose built hydrotherapy pool, that is excellent for rehabilitation post injury/surgery. Referrals can be made via either Roxburgh Park or Essendon Moonee Ponds Clinics.

Expanded Services

We have access to a third treatment room now at Essendon & Moonee Ponds Physiotherapy Clinic, which gives us greater flexibility with patient appointments and accommodating urgent cases.
